David Prowse — the man behind the mask of the galaxy’s most feared villain, Darth Vader and champion of the GREEN CROSS CODE — is being honoured by the community he inspired.

Croydon Council has installed the first of its new OUTDOOR gyms in Addiscombe Recreation Ground dedicated to improving strength and wellbeing. ASPRA residents Association believed it would be a wonderful opportunity to commemorate a local hero David Prowse, MBE, who had the same philosophy. We lobbied Croydon Council who agreed to name it the David Prowse Gym.

On MAY THE FOURTH, from 11am- 1pm ASPRA is inviting all locals to come and join us at the Addiscombe Recreation Ground to have a couple of hours of fun, fitness challenges and have their photos taken with Star Wares re-enactors.

Citizens of all ages will take part in fun, games, and fitness challenges…

Visitors will also have the rare opportunity to meet the PROWSE FAMILY, honouring a true local legend.

With special performances from Croydon Calisthenics, showcasing strength and skill.

From across the galaxy,
LEGENDARY CHARACTERS will arrive for a special MEET AND GREET.

Costumes are strongly encouraged…

As the we will be judging the BEST STAR WARS THEMED COSTUMES for both ADULTS and CHILDREN.

Dress to impress —
PRIZES WILL BE WON.

With support from local allies, including Oaks Estate Agents, this event promises excitement for all.

The Force is strong in this community.
